Formby Restaurant Crowned Best Indian Restaurant in Liverpool 2026

A popular Formby Indian restaurant that has been serving the local community for more than 20 years is celebrating a fantastic achievement after being named the Best Indian Restaurant in Liverpool for 2026.

Shantii Restaurant, situated at 124A Church Road in Formby, has received the prestigious title of Best Indian Restaurant – Liverpool at the Indian Restaurant Summit & Honours 2026 (Regional Edition).

The awards ceremony took place on 21 September 2026 at The Edwardian in Manchester, bringing together representatives from the Indian restaurant industry to recognise excellence in food, hospitality and service.

For Shantii, which has been a familiar part of Formby’s restaurant scene for more than two decades, the award is a wonderful recognition of the team’s dedication and hard work.

The restaurant proudly announced its success on social media, sharing photographs of the team receiving their award alongside a heartfelt message thanking everyone who has supported the business over the years.

The team said: “We are incredibly proud and excited to announce that Shantii Restaurant has won the award for Best Indian Restaurant – Liverpool at the Indian Restaurant Summit & Honours 2026!”

“This achievement means so much to us. A huge thank you to all our wonderful customers, our hardworking team, and everyone who has supported Shantii Restaurant along the way.”

A special thank you to customers

To celebrate their success and thank customers for their continued loyalty, Shantii has announced a special offer of 10% off online orders over £20 when ordering directly through its website.

The restaurant hopes the award will give both regular customers and those who have yet to visit another reason to enjoy its Indian cuisine.

A proud moment for Formby

It is always wonderful to see independent businesses from Formby receiving recognition beyond the village, particularly those that have been part of the local community for so many years.

Shantii’s achievement is a proud moment for the restaurant, its staff and everyone who has supported the business throughout its journey.

From everyone at Formby Bubble, congratulations to the entire Shantii team on this fantastic achievement. We wish you many more years of success!
