Formby’s very own James Comish has once again dazzled at the Southport Flower Show, scooping a remarkable set of awards and securing the coveted Best in Show Trophy for his breathtaking display, A Floral Haven.

This stunning show garden was a true riot of colour, filled with an extraordinary collection of dahlias – every single one carefully grown at James’s nursery in Formby. The garden was designed to showcase as many different varieties of this beloved flower as possible, creating a vibrant haven that left both judges and visitors in awe.

James’s awards this year included:

🥇 Large Gold Medal

🏆 Best Use of Planting Trophy

🏆 Best Large Show Garden Trophy

🏆 Best in Show Trophy

Speaking after the show, James said:

This incredible achievement follows on from last year’s success, when James swept the board at the 100th Southport Flower Show with his nostalgic design Southport of Yesteryear, created in collaboration with Anthony Major. That garden earned him the:
