Merseyside Police appeal after jewellery found in a park in Formby

Merseyside Police has issued a photograph of a quantity of jewellery found in a Sefton park in a bid to reunite it with its owner.

A jewellery bag was discovered by a member of the public at around 7.30am on Monday 13th March, in Duke Street Park in Formby.

An investigation is ongoing to establish if the jewellery was accidentally dropped or stolen in a burglary and officers have issued a photograph in an effort to trace the owner.

The jewellery includes brooches, necklaces and earrings.

Anyone who recognises the jewellery or has any information about who it belongs to is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 3442.
