Engineers still working on burst pipe on Formby bypass
A team of engineers are still on the Formby bypass at Altcar Road due to a burst pipe.
Due to the complex nature of the repair, it is taking longer than expected to complete.
United Utilities do apologise for any trouble this may be causing and they are trying to get the work done as quickly as possible.
For health and safety reasons, the team of engineers have had to put traffic management in place whilst they do the repairs which are causing some traffic delays on the northbound carriageway of the bypass.
You may find your water supply does not flow as much because the pressure is lower. It is effecting Formby and some parts of Crosby - L23, L29, L37, and L38.
The team of engineers will remain onsite working hard to restore the water supply and to ensure this is repaired as soon as possible. Again, they are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
