We are absolutely thrilled to share some amazing news from right here in Formby — Holly and the incredible school kitchen team at Woodlands Primary School have officially WON the 2025 LACA Primary School Catering Team of the Year Award!
This prestigious national award recognises the very best in school meals across the UK, and Woodlands has firmly secured its place among the elite thanks to the unwavering dedication, creativity, and passion of its catering staff — proudly delivered by Sefton Catering Services.
Earlier this year, we reported that Woodlands Primary had been shortlisted for this coveted award — and now, we’re delighted to confirm that they’ve brought it home!
From nutritious, balanced meals to exciting menus that truly engage pupils, the team serves up far more than just food. They deliver fun, energy, and a love for healthy eating every single day — and the impact on pupils’ wellbeing is clear to see.
This win also continues a remarkable track record for Sefton Catering Services, who previously scooped national awards in 2019 and 2020. Now in 2025, they’ve done it again — this time with the team at Woodlands leading the way.
