A much-loved local business on Redgate Lane has sadly closed its doors. The Butchers Kitchen, which has been part of the Formby community for many years, announced yesterday that it has officially closed its Formby branch. The team shared the news in a heartfelt message to customers on their Facebook page.
Here is their full statement:

The Butchers Kitchen Formby - Now Closed
HSQB & TBK are revisiting our roots to rediscover some of our heritage in the coming weeks.
Our beloved space churchtown has seen many revamps and changes over the years but has lay dormant for too long now, and we are excited to inject some life back into our corner of Hesketh Drive.
The reality of this next chapter for us comes at the cost of closure to TBK - Formby. It is with no regret that we take this step backwards in order to progress many steps forward. Our time in formby has been a huge learning curve and we gained alot from there but we are now ready to regroup and move forward.
Our crazy little team functions better as one when maintaining and improving our standards of service amongst the madness of lunchtimes in our town.
We thank everyone endlessly for the ongoing support and look forward to sharing with you the next chapter of The Butchers Kitchen.
We would love to bring our presence back into Formby in the not so distance future in a better location, with our newer style and bigger intentions.
Never say never…

The Butchers Kitchen has been a familiar name in Formby for many years, known for its quality food and friendly service. Its closure will be felt by many in the local community, but the team’s message makes it clear that this is not necessarily the end of their Formby story.
They plan to revisit their roots, focus on their Churchtown location, and hope to return to Formby in the future “in a better location, with a newer style and bigger intentions.”
We would like to wish Hakan and the team at The Butchers Kitchen every success as they move forward with the next chapter of their journey — and we know many in Formby will be delighted to see them return in the future.
