RTC on Formby Bypass at entrance to the garage

There has been another road traffic collision this afternoon, Saturday 20th September, on the Formby Bypass, at the entrance to the garage on Scaffold Lane, opposite the former Red Squirrel pub (now the EV garage).

Emergency services are on scene, including Merseyside Fire & Rescue, multiple police vehicles, and ambulances. At this stage, it is not clear if anyone has been injured.

This junction has seen several collisions in recent times, raising ongoing concerns about safety at the site.

Currently, the incident is contained within the entrance/exit of the garage, so it is not having a significant impact on traffic flow along the bypass.
