Road Closure from today, Monday 28th July on Freshfield Road

IMPORTANT ROAD CLOSURE – FRESHFIELD ROAD.

Monday 28th July – Thursday 1st August 2025

(Full closure in place 24 hours a day)

Freshfield Road in Formby is now fully closed to all traffic for essential carriageway resurfacing works, beginning today, Monday 28th July, and continuing until Thursday 1st August.

The closure will be in force around the clock, with emergency access maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to plan ahead and use alternative routes during this period to avoid delays.

These works are being carried out by Sefton Council’s Highways team to improve the road surface and ensure long-term safety for all road users.
