Remembering those who served
Remembrance Sunday is an opportunity for communities across the country to reflect on the sacrifices made by generations of servicemen and women.
The Royal British Legion continues to play a vital role in supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families, while ensuring the importance of remembrance is passed on to future generations.
The annual Poppy Appeal also provides an opportunity for residents to show their support and contribute towards the Legion’s work.
Residents of Formby, Hightown, Ince Blundell and the surrounding areas are encouraged to attend their local services and join together in remembrance.
As we approach Remembrance Sunday, we remember those who fought for our freedom, those who never returned home and the families whose lives were changed forever.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
Lest we forget.
