Ravenmeols Level Crossing Closed by police

Ravenmeols level crossing has been closed in both directions after the barrier was completely broken and smashed off.

Merseyside Police are currently at the scene, with police tape in place on both sides of the crossing to prevent access.

Formby Bubble understands that a van is believed to have struck the barrier, causing significant damage. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

The blue tape has been put in place as a precaution to ensure the damage is clearly visible and to keep the public safe.

Drivers and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area while the crossing remains closed.
