Range High Pupil is to join the Table Tennis England Junior Training Squad 2021
Congratulations to Range High School pupil, Rhys Davies who has just been confirmed for the Table Tennis England Junior Training Squad 2021. The England Junior Squad is a group of young players with the potential to play table tennis at elite level on the international stage.
The Year 11 Range High pupil has been training hard throughout the pandemic with his table tennis skills although his training has taken place mostly at home. Range High School are happy to hear the news, they said: "Our Table Tennis Champ Rhys Davies goes from strength to strength and all of us here at Range High couldn't be more delighted to receive this news. Our pupil, Rhys Davies is currently ranked 3 in England at Under 18 Level and is the reigning Home International Schools' U/14 Champion. We could not be prouder!"
Table Tennis England said: "The England Junior squad follows on from our England Aspire squad and is our highest training group within the youth section of our performance pathway. The squad is made up of some of the leading Cadet and Junior players from across the country, with players beginning to compete regularly on the international circuit."
