Popular Formby Pub, The Cross House has re-opened its doors following a six-figure refurbishment

The Cross House, on Three Tuns Lane, has now reopened following a significant six figure investment designed to transform the pub.

Located just ten minutes away from Formby Beach, the Cross House closed several weeks ago for a full refurbishment, which has modernised both the interior and exterior of the community pub.

The investment has also provided a significant boost to local recruitment, with ten new team members hired in recent weeks.

On the outside, both the front and rear beer gardens have been significantly upgraded with new colour schemes throughout. Six new heated huts have been added to the rear garden along with all new furniture ensuring guests can enjoy the outdoor space throughout the winter months. At the front, new planters have been added giving the pub a welcoming feel.

Internally, the Cross House has been totally remodelled, with several interior walls removed to create a bright, open plan space. As well as a new colour scheme and new furniture throughout, the bar area has also been remodelled, gaining a new draft cocktail station filled with a range of premium serves.

Conrad Carter, General Manager of the Cross House said: “The Cross House is a classic community pub with such a wide range of customers. Whether you’re meeting friends for brunch or cocktails, if you’re a sports fan or if you’re simply out for a day with the family, we’ve got something for you.”

“The entire team is thrilled to be able to reopen our doors so make sure to head on in for one of our upcoming music nights over the next few weeks!”

A popular sports pub, the Cross House now has several new 60 Inch TV screens, showing all the latest games on Sky, BT, and Amazon Prime providing the perfect setting to enjoy the upcoming football this winter.

The pub is also a Greene King Season Ticket site, meaning regulars can download the Season Ticket app for a free drink when they sign up and 10% off selected drink purchases through the app.

Following the reopening, the Cross House will be running a range of deals, including 3 for £14 or 5 for £20 on small plates every day, as well as a lunch club deal: sandwich/lunch dish and a drink from £8.99 12pm-5pm Mon-Sat.

What’s more, in the run up to Christmas, the Cross House will host a series of events and live music, including several tribute acts. For more information, visit the pub’s Facebook page here or Instagram page here.

The Cross House is located on Three Tuns Lane, Cross Green, Formby, Merseyside, L37 4BH.
