What an absolutely fantastic day it has been in Formby Village today (Saturday 6th June) as the incredible Formby Yarn Bombers once again transformed our village into a colourful outdoor gallery of creativity, community spirit and imagination.
From early this morning, visitors flocked into the village to admire the stunning displays, with streets filled with families, friends and visitors all enjoying the amazing atmosphere. The village was busy, vibrant and buzzing throughout the day, with smiles everywhere you looked as people stopped to admire the hundreds of handcrafted creations on display.
What many people see today is the finished masterpiece, but behind every display lies countless hours of dedication, planning, knitting and crocheting. For the last 12 months, a remarkable team of volunteers have worked tirelessly behind the scenes creating hundreds of unique pieces ready to bring another Yarn Bombing Day to life.
A huge thank you must go to every single member of the Formby Yarn Bombers team, the organisers, volunteers and everyone who helped make this wonderful community event happen. Your commitment, creativity and passion continue to make this one of Formby’s most loved annual events.
Thankfully, the weather was kind too, with brighter skies arriving just in time to allow thousands of people to enjoy everything the village had to offer. Local businesses benefited from the increased footfall and the whole village felt alive with community spirit.
From all of us at Formby Bubble, thank you to the absolutely fantastic Formby Yarn Bombers for another hugely successful year. Once again you have brought people together, showcased incredible local talent and created something truly special for everyone to enjoy.

What a creative and uplifting community project! The amount of time, skill, and teamwork that goes into these yarn bombing displays is truly impressive. It's always inspiring to see people bringing color and joy to public spaces. This kind of creativity is as unexpectedly fun as discovering a quirky game like Crazy Cattle 3D during a break.
