Formby resident John Youssef is to represent Great Britain in the World Bodybuilding Championships

Formby resident and Youssef Gym owner, John Youssef fulfilled his lifelong ambition of competing in a Bodybuilding competition last weekend.

Despite falling ill just three days before the competition, John went on to win first place in the Masters category.

Johns win meant that he qualified for the British Finals in October 2024 which is fantastic!

John has also been asked to represent Great Britain in The world championships in Spain this Sunday 19th November.

To prepare for this contest, John was eating a minimum of 300g of protein every day, walking between 20-30,000 steps and getting up at 4:30am to go and lift heavy weights in his gym, Youssef Strength, in Formby village.
