Formby Live 2026 Returns for Its 17th Year with Live Music, Fair Rides, Food, Bars and Festival Fun

One of Formby’s most anticipated annual events is back this month as Formby Live 2026 returns for its 17th year, bringing an incredible weekend of live music, family entertainment and community spirit to the village.

Taking place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June, the festival will once again see venues across Formby come alive with music, while two of the biggest attractions will be the Woodwards Gig Gazebo Summer Festival and the Formby Pool Festival Site on Elbow Lane.

At Woodwards, music lovers can enjoy two packed afternoons of free live entertainment featuring a fantastic line up of local bands and performers. Saturday’s programme includes Tom Dalley, Jack Wallace and Band, Kazmic, Shooter with a special guest and The Stragglers, while Sunday’s line up features The Will Hardaker Band, The Immortals, Steve McKenna and guests, The O’Boogie Bros, Boogaloo and The Wayne Carrick Band.

A huge thank you goes to Peter Beahan, who has once again organised the Woodwards stage, and to all the musicians who generously give their time and talents free of charge to help make the event such a success year after year.

Meanwhile, over at Formby Pool, visitors can enjoy live performances from The Mersey Cats, along with fairground rides, games, stalls, food vendors and a licensed bar throughout the weekend. With free entry and entertainment running from midday until 6pm, it promises to be a fantastic destination for families and festival goers alike.

The celebrations will not stop there either, with many of Formby’s bars and venues also hosting live music events throughout the weekend, creating a true festival atmosphere right across the village.

For 17 years, Formby Live has brought together local musicians, businesses, volunteers and residents in a celebration of music and community spirit. This year’s event looks set to continue that tradition in style, with organisers hoping for sunshine, large crowds and another memorable weekend for the village.
