Formby Junior Sports Club’s 65th season finished at the weekend in glorious sunshine
Formby Junior Sports Club’s 65th season finished at the weekend in glorious sunshine after nine months of roller coaster weather. Congratulation goes to all the club’s voluntary helpers who have had to deal with a record number of matches cancelled. Everyone has been so positive in overcoming these problems and for still making the 2023-2024 so enjoyable and memorable for FJSC’s two hundred and fifty plus members.

INTER CLUB SECTION
It was the last Inter Club meeting of the season which was well attended and includeda lot of new recruits in all age groups. Despite losing nine Saturday sessions during the season due to the weather and waterlogged pitches the FJSC still managed to hold twenty-five sessions in total. A good run of fineweather on Saturdays in March, April and May saved the day and helped restore continuity for the very keen young footballers.
See the photograph above of the Reception and Year One age group children with their end of season FJSC medals which were inscribed FJSC 65 Years 1959-2024.
