Formby Bypass closed in both directions due to a Police Incident


Formby Bypass closed in both directions due to a Police Incident.


We have been informed there is a motorbike involved as the rider is on the floor off his bike. Ambulance on site and the Air Ambulance landed around 11am.

Police have closed the Formby Bypass A565 completely blocking it off from Tesco traffic lights to Ince Wood just southbound.


Traffic is being diverted towards Tesco or into Formby via Altcar Road or Liverpool Road.


UPDATE:

There are still huge traffic queues and delays going out of Formby via Liverpool Road at 11:48am.


Please avoid if possible as traffic is building up.
