Emergency Services Attend Incident in Formby Dunes

Emergency services were called to the dunes near Lifeboat Road at approximately 7pm on Friday 22nd May following reports of a young person collapsing.
It is understood that a 17 year old girl, who had earlier been with a larger group, became unwell after being in the dunes walking back from the beach. Thankfully, members of the public who were nearby quickly stepped in, raised the alarm, and contacted emergency services.
Paramedics attended the scene along with police officers and provided immediate assistance. The girl was reported to have taken medication and was intoxicated. She was treated at the scene before being taken away by ambulance. At this stage, there are no further updates on her condition.
This incident highlights the importance of looking out for one another and acting quickly in an emergency. The actions of those who stepped in to help are commendable and may have made a significant difference.
