Emergency services were called to Formby Beach on Friday 13th March following reports of a person in difficulty in the water.
Coastguard teams requested assistance, with rescue crews and quad bikes quickly deployed to the scene. A lifeboat was also positioned on the tideline as a precaution.
On arrival, the individual was already in the care of Merseyside Police. Rescue teams assisted in bringing the person safely off the beach before being stood down.
Earlier in the week, crews were also tasked to Southport Beach following reports of a person in difficulty late at night. Rescue teams quickly located the casualty with the support of a drone and brought them back to the lifeboat station, where they received medical care before being transferred to an ambulance.

These incidents highlight the vital work carried out by coastal rescue teams across our coastline.
We would like to thank all emergency services and volunteers for their continued dedication and rapid response.
