🍂 Autumn Colours, Remembrance Sunday and a Chilly Week Ahead for Formby

Formby Village was looking beautiful today, with golden autumn leaves carpeting the pavements, plenty of people out and about and a definite chill in the November air.

Following last night’s freezing fog, Remembrance Sunday brought temperatures of just 9°C, with a gentle southerly breeze of 6mph.

Despite the chilly weather and grey skies, Chapel Lane was busy with people enjoying the village and gathering to mark this special day of remembrance.

The trees are gradually shedding their beautiful golden, orange and copper leaves, creating a colourful autumn carpet around the village benches and along the pavements.

There’s something lovely about Formby at this time of year, and although the trees are becoming increasingly bare, the last of the autumn colours are still putting on a beautiful display.

With Christmas just around the corner, it certainly feels as though winter is on its way.

🌤️ Formby Weather Forecast: Monday to Thursday

Tonight: 

Another cold night is expected, with clear spells allowing mist and fog to develop again. Some fog could become quite dense by morning, with patches of frost also possible. Temperatures could fall to around 4°C.

Monday: 

A foggy and chilly start for Formby, with mist and fog gradually clearing during the morning, although some patches could linger towards midday. Brighter skies and some welcome sunshine are expected during the afternoon, with temperatures reaching around 8°C.

Tuesday: 

A brighter start is possible before cloud increases and rain moves in from the south during the afternoon. A southeasterly breeze will develop.

Wednesday: 

Further rain is expected during the morning, gradually clearing through the afternoon, although skies are likely to remain mostly cloudy.

Thursday: 

A brighter day is possible, with some sunshine returning, but it could feel noticeably colder as northerly winds develop.

The forecast suggests we’re in for a mixture of foggy mornings, rain and occasional sunshine as November continues.
