Formby Junior Sports Club - Franks report

Formby Junior Sports Club’s 62nd football season got off to a great start last Saturday morning. There was a good attendance at Inter Club with many children joining. The combination of excellent coaching and games of football worked well and all the young footballers had a thoroughly enjoyable time as can be seen in the photograph attached to the report. The Inter Club Section is open to all boys and girls from Reception up to and including Year Six. Children just starting off football or those who wish to try out football to see if they like it are very welcome. There is no pressure to be put into a competitive league team. Inter Club is all about enjoyment, having fun, making friends and of course improving skills simply by just being allowed to play. Children can try out new positions even in the same game. To be in goal for a few minutes and then being centre forward all before half time is quite normal. The philosophy of being allowed to try various positions and attempting new learnt ball skills is always encouraged. All the children played well on Saturday and there were many goals scored. On target with goals were the following - Jacob Givin, Max Seiffert, Daniel Johnson, Walter Ramsdale, Jack Hansen, Jack Haggart, Noah Williams, Max Byford, Matthew Crutchley, Harvey Haines, Zac Hooson-Jones, Lucas Lewis, Jaime Seasman, Zac Pemberton, Gregory Houghton, Harrison Taylor, James Potts, Lewis Donoghue, Olly Dean and Patrick Fleming. INTER CLUB ARRANGEMENTS FOR SAT. SEPTEMBER 12TH All sessions are at Deansgate Lane Playing Fields. Parents are reminded to please ensure that their child has a hand sanitiser and a drink labelled with their child’s name. Also being on time for sessions is very important so that prompt starts are made. START TIMES FOR BOYS AND GIRLS Reception at 9.45am, Years Five/Six at 10am, Year One at 10.30am, Years Three/Four at 11.10am and Year Two at 11.15am. All sessions are for one-hour duration. New members are welcome in all Inter Club age groups and present members and their parents are asked to tell their friends all about FJSC. Enquiries about Inter Club should be sent by email to Frank Rourke at stellathecat4@gmail.com REPRESENTATIVE TEAM FOOTBALL FJSC Under 11’s were the only Representative Team to play a league match. All the boys played very well in an exciting match with TMS in the Hightown League. Luca Massey scored twice with Josh Adderley one goal. With the Craven Minor League not due to start for a few weeks many of the FJSC Representative teams played friendly matches or had training sessions at the weekend. REP TEAM NEWS New FJSC Under 5 and FJSC Under 6 teams are to be formed as soon as possible. If interested please come along next Saturday at 9.45am for Under 5’s or at 10.30am for Under 6’s. Places are still available in the three Sunday FJSC Under 7 squads. If interested please attend at 11.15am next Saturday.
