Formby male dance group forms to raise funds for Rainbow House at the Paradise Ball
Thirteen brave Formby men have formed “The Paradise Boys” – a dance group who will perform “Copocabana” at The Paradise Ball to be held in the Ambassador Suite at Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa on Saturday 21 st September 2019 to raise funds for Rainbow House, the Mawdesley based charity which supports children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities.
The event is organised by Lisa and Paul Maddison whose daughter Katie has attended conductive education at Rainbow House since she was 18 months old and has made tremendous progress with their help. It is supported by Total Facility Solutions Ltd. Paul will be one of the Paradise Boys and will be accompanied by Mal and Tom McGeoch, Andy Stockell, Andy Eadie, Christian Evans, David Guy, Ian Taylor, Jon Higham, Mark Jones, Matt Clarkson, Stuart Bold and Martin Blair, who have accepted the spectacular fund-raising dance challenge.
Lisa Maddison said, “They are rehearsing hard and all doing so incredibly well - none are experienced dancers but they’re looking incredible. All of this is managed by and under the expert tuition of my niece, the very talented Emma Lippitt. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of them for their commitment to this crazy challenge.” She continued, “They all know Katie and have followed her progress over the years and understand about the life changing work at Rainbow House. The dance will be on social media after the event so anyone who donates will get to see the Paradise Boys strut their stuff even if they are not at the Ball.” Lyndsay Fahey, Head of Fundraising, Rainbow House, said “This is a fantastic commitment and we can’t wait to see The Paradise Boys in action.
