National Trust Formby is closed today after Met Office issue a Yellow Weather Warning for high winds in Formby due to Storm Hannah As the wind is forecast to reach Gale force 8 (39-46mph), National Trust Formby have closed the car park at Victoria Road and would advise you not to go into the woods as there is the real danger of large tree branches falling or even whole trees being uprooted. Gusts of wind are expected to remain around 50-51 mph for much of the day. Lifeboat Road car park will remain open at this time. We will keep you updated should things change during the course of the day. High Tide today is at 18:08hrs and is only 7m high but due to the high winds will be higher so please take care. A spokesperson from National Trust Formby said: "Further gale force winds have been forecast for Formby today so we will remain closed. We hope to re-open at some point tomorrow, Sunday 28th April after the post storm tree and dune surveys have been completed."
