Police Helicopter called and three men arrested on suspicion of burglary at Formby Golf Club

At approximately 06:50am this morning, Friday 7th September, Merseyside Police Officers responded to a report of Burglary at Formby Golf Club.

It was reported that a group of youths were breaking into an out-building within the confines of the course. Upon arrival of officers, the males ran off in several directions into the surrounding woodland.

The area was contained and assistance was sought from the Police Helicopter.

Due to the prompt response from officers on the ground, three suspects were detained and arrested on Suspicion of Burglary.

The suspects remain in Custody, pending interview later today.
