Road Closed in Formby causing significant delays

Liverpool Road in Formby heading out of Formby is closed today, Monday 9th April due to roadworks by Sefton Council.

The road is closed in both directions from the Formby bypass into Formby and also from Liverpool Road (by Sports Direct) out of Formby. The road closure is causing significant delays around Formby so expect lots of traffic and queues.

The roadworks are to replace a manhole and manhole cover in the carriageway.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times. The closure is for one day only, Monday 9th April.
