Very high tides today leaving just a narrow strip of beach available
There is a very high tide at today, April 1st at 12:32pm in Formby. If you are heading down to our beautiful beach, please be careful as there will be little or no beach available for approximately one hour either side of this time.
Today the tide at Formby will rise to 9.20m and will be at it's highest at 12:32pm.
Please wrap up well and take care.
Tides are the rise and fall of sea levels caused by the combined effects of gravitational forces exerted by the Moon, Sun, and rotation of the Earth.
National Trust issued a warning to horse riders using the beach at high tide this weekend:
If you go down, please take some photos for us. Send them to info@formbybubble.com
