Formby girl stars in Sky hit series and also in a new Paramount movie
Britannia Rules the Waves Formby School of Dancing and Performing Arts pupil, Eleanor Worthington Cox, is currently starring in Sky Atlantic's hit new series Britannia. The nine part series re-imagines the Roman invasion of Britain in 43AD with Eleanor's character playing a central role to the story. Eleanor has been a pupil at Formby School since she was two years old and she'll be returning to Formby to take part in the School's summer show 5th to the 8th July details to follow.
Eleanor’s teachers at the school, Alistair, Hayley and Tracey are so proud of everything she has achieved and are delighted that she is taking a break from filming, (thanks to all at Sky) to take a lead role in what will be her final performance for The Formby School. Alistair said: "It means so much to us that she had the show dates written in her contract and writing our show with Eleanor as the lead, has been an absolute joy as always."
Eleanor said: "I'm very proud to be a pupil at such a fantastic school. I've received outstanding training and although it's my last show this summer, I'll definitely be back to support everyone in the future."
Eleanor will also be in cinemas this summer starring opposite Johnny Knoxville in the Paramount film Action Point which premieres in June. Eleanor has also just finished shooting the leading role in a new British film to be released later this year. Watch this space!
