The Tower Heating Story

Tower Heating was established in 1990 by Neil Tomlinson – affectionately known as “Tomi” – and his friend Steve Power. The pair first met at Formby High School and, after graduating, both went on to complete apprenticeships with British Gas.

After gaining over a decade of valuable experience in the heating industry, they decided the time was right to set up their own business – and so, Tower Heating was born. Their vision was simple but powerful: to provide reliable, high-quality heating services to the local community, backed by trust, professionalism, and a personal touch.

Over the next three decades, Neil built Tower Heating into a respected, family-run business known for its excellent service and strong team values. Today, Neil’s sons Greg and Stuart have taken over the day-to-day running of the company, allowing Neil a little more time to enjoy golfing and the occasional holiday in Spain with his wife, Kim.

From fitting brand new boilers to keeping existing ones running smoothly with regular servicing and repairs, Tower Heating covers everything you need to stay cosy all year round. In recent years, they’ve also introduced air conditioning services – perfect for those warm summer months – showing they’re always looking for ways to meet the needs of local families.

Their team of qualified engineers are all Gas Safe registered and Tower Heating is a Worcester Bosch Accredited Partner, meaning they can offer extended guarantees on selected boilers of up to 12 years. They work across Formby, Ainsdale, Birkdale, Southport, Crosby, Maghull, Ormskirk and the surrounding areas, always bringing that personal touch you can only get from a local business.
