A two vehicle RTC in Ince Blundell Woods

THREE people have been taken to hospital after a car crash near the Formby Bypass.

The emergency services were called to Ince Road in Ince Blundell at around 11am following reports of a two vehicle road traffic accident.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said they have taken three people to hospital. Two people were taken to Aintree hospital with suspected ‘serious injuries.’

A third person has been taken to Ormskirk hospital.

Their condition is not known.

The A565 was closed in both directions but has now re-opened.

Southport Road in both directions was closed, the traffic was diverted through Ince Woods due to three vehicles involved in a serious RTC between Ince Road / Long Lane and Lady Green Lane.”
