Two men have been charged following a burglary in Formby
Merseyside Police can confirm two men have been charged with burglary, theft, theft shop and common assault following an incident on Thursday, 23 February. Alan Rimmer, 57 years of Kipling Street, Bootle and David Keating, 41 years of Cookson Road, Seaforth appeared at South Sefton Magistrates court on 24th February. Keating was remanded in custody and Rimmer bailed with conditions, to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court on 14 April 2017. In the early hours of Thursday, 23 February, officers received a report of a burglary at an address in Coniston Road, Formby whereby camera equipment, and numerous credit cards were stolen. The cards were then used to withdraw cash from an ATM in Formby.
Two men, both from Bootle, were arrested on suspicion of burglary at around 9am on Thursday February 23rd.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “Officers were called to Coniston Road to a report of a burglary at around 9am. It was reported thieves had forced entry to the property between midnight and 8am and taken photography equipment, phones and purses.”
