Formby Squirrels Rotary Club have held an annual barn dance

Since the club formed three years ago, Formby Squirrels Rotary Club have held an annual barn dance. This year the dance was held as a ceilidh in the Holy Trinity Church Hall and featured the renowned Galimaufrey Ceilidh Band.

After the first few notes were played, feet were tapping and we knew that we were in for a good night. The caller kept the floor full until "half-time" when dancing adjourned for a hot-pot and apple pie supper.

Dancing resumed with the same enthusiasm, finally closing with a very energetic "stripping the willow".

A fun night was had by all and for those who missed out on tickets, better luck next year!

The event raised £665.81 for Teenage Cancer Trust. Thank you to everyone who attended the event or supported us by donating a raffle prize.

The club is actively seeking new members who have are socially minded, willing to actively participate in club activities and looking to have an enjoyable time. They meet twice a month, one meeting being for business and the other for a social activity.
