"Congratulations to the residents in Hightown who have patiently lobbied Cornerstone Telecommunications to reconsider the location for the phone mast. Thanks also to Cornerstone for listening to the residents. Cornerstone have told me that they will now look at an alternative site further away from residents homes at the Hightown Club, so that residents are less affected by the new mast, while still achieving the objective of better mobile phone coverage. I hope this is what happens and that a compromise can be reached that works for the people of Hightown. It looks like common sense has prevailed and I would like to pay tribute to the many in Hightown who took part in the campaign.
