Formby Hero saved a Teens life on New Years Day
"The elderly man that had stopped had a gentle grip of the boys arm to try and keep him calm but i was terrified that at any minute he would just fall forward. I looked at the girl and asked 'is he going to jump?' She nodded to me to say yes. I realised the boy was leaning more and more forward so i did what anyone else would of done and i threw my both arms around him and pulled him off the wall to safety on the pavement with me."
Merseyside police were called but were not needed as the girl had called the boys mother who turned up shortly after the incident and took them home completely unaware of what had happened.
The Formby man was a real hero and so were the other three people that stopped to help that night, which could have had a much different ending.
