Formby Village post office shut for refurbishment
The Post Office in Formby village closed on Wednesday 12th October to undergo modernisation and refurbishment, plans which have been delayed from the origional planned June revamp.
When it re-opens at 1pm on Friday 28th October it will have four counter positions including three screened positions and a post office serving point at the retail counter.
This branch will now be open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
For the duration of closure the nearest Post offices to use are; Harrington Road and inside Bargain Booze on Liverpool Road.
Julie Kemp the Area Manager said " We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how improtant these services are to local residents. We are confident that this vibrant new-style post office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs".
She went on to say "This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in our hisory".
