Veterans Breakfast club to launch in Formby

Welcome to the 'Veterans Breakfast Clubs Uk'.
My name is Gary Travers a former soldier of the Royal Artillery now a veteran living in Formby. I'm about to launch 'Veterans Breakfast Club (Formby)' on Saturday 1st October 2016 at the Toby Carvery or Bay Horse Pub 0800-1100 hours, it's aimed at all veterans and current serving military personnel both men and women of Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
The Breakfast Clubs are about groups of Veterans and serving members of all arms of Her Majesties Armed Forces, who, in short, we look out for each other.
It is much like the best bits of your time when you were serving. There are no official national rules or subscriptions; it’s in a relaxed atmosphere, no dress rules, berets, blazers or ties, individual Breakfast Clubs make their own decisions as and when if they wish.
We will aim to meet once a month on the morning of the last Saturday of each month unless suggested otherwise by eating breakfast together, indulge in some good old military banter, some irreverent talk and some black humour and to make new friends in the local area. We network among the variety of trades the veterans all now work in.
It really works because we all have a similar outlook on life; similar sense of humour and in many respects the social life many of the veterans of the breakfast clubs now enjoy are similar to the days when we served. It also builds friendships for those who miss out on the good old military days, something civilians won’t understand.
We have representatives from Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines... so if you want to come along and join in the banter meet new people, as long as you have a uniform service history, or association with such, and can cope with the sense of humour, just turn up on Saturday 01 October 2016 between 0800 and 1100 hours and you will be made welcome.
