FRANK'S REPORT -

It’s the final countdown to the start of Formby Junior Sports Club’s new football season. Enthusiasm is gaining momentum each day and on Saturday September 3rd, Inter Club football will commence for two hundred boys and girls who have eagerly been waiting all summer for football to start again. Refreshed and raring to go, particularly after the wonderful efforts of Team GB in the Olympic Games, it is hoped that more and more children will be inspired and will wish to participate in sport. Already many new members have joined FJSC to try out football for the first time. The great majority of last season’s members have already rejoined, so it is with great anticipation at FJSC that all our members will thoroughly enjoy their football, make new friends whilst taking part in a healthy pursuit. Most of the club’s Representative teams start one week later on Saturday September 10th or Sunday September 11th allowing the record number of thirty-two FJSC teams an extra week to prepare for the much- awaited new league season. So far three hundred and forty-two children have already joined FJSC this season and it is envisaged that it will not be long before once again the club reaches the four hundred mark. INTER CLUB SECTION New members are welcome in all Inter Club age groups.

The Inter Club Boys’ age groups are from Reception up to and including Year Seven.

The Girls’ Section is from Year One up to Year Ten.
