Neonatal Unit Fundraising Event - Our Final Fundraising Event of 2015 was a Ladies Christmas Shopping Evening held at St Jeromes Social Club on Friday Night. Despite the horrendous weather it certainly didn't put off people coming and supporting us.
A few minor problems throughout the day and early evening but it didn't affect the night in anyway. We had 34 local businesses who had Christmas gifts from sweets, soaps and gift sets, handbags, bracelets, make up, items for your animals, beauticians, hairdresser, cakes and many many more.
Our fundraising table had a "Guess the Hamper" and our lovely winner Annette Thorpe guessed correctly at £138.00 and took the hamper home with her.
Our helpers during the afternoon setting up and throughout the evening were just fantastic as usual giving up their own time to help and support such a worthy cause.
We raised an incredible £1409.00 and our total amount raised throughout the whole of 2015 is £13,282.97 which has helped towards purchasing a new Transport Incubator.
New fundraising events will be going towards new monitors and new incubators for the Neonatal Unit.
Thank you so much to everyone who braved the weather and supported us on the night and throughout the whole year. Planning will start in the new year for 2016's events.

Families have been thanked thanked for raising £40,000 for an incubator including Emma Graham who organised the Ladies Christmas Shopping night (above)

Three families helped raise more than £40,000 for a high-tech transport incubator for premature babies at Ormskirk hospital.
Emma and Lee Graham, from Formby, have fundraised for the past three years after their son, Theo, was born 10 weeks early. During the last year alone, the Graham family raised £10,000 by having a different fundraising activity each month.
