Open Day at Formby Tennis Club - 17th May

FORMBY Lawn Tennis Club are hosting an open day as part of their associations with the Great British Tennis Weekend on Sunday May 17. The event will be open to all ages and abilities, and will include cardio tennis sessions, a ball machine and serve speed gun plus many other activities and refreshments. Christian Bryan, from Formby Lawn Tennis Club said: “Whether you haven't picked up a racket in a while or you are interested in trying out a new sport and keeping fit, the open day will be an ideal time to see what we have to offer. ”The event is in conjunction with the Lawn Tennis Association's Great British Tennis Weekend on May 17, and is open to all abilities. “Don't worry if you don't have a racket, we can provide equipment and balls. ”For anyone who is interested they can sign up at the club or visit our website for more details.“ The club on Gores Lane, features six floodlit artificial grass courts which are available for use all year round and two grass courts which can be played on during the tennis season. Formby Lawn Tennis host teams from the Southport and District leagues and the Liverpool men's Leagues. They also welcome a senior social club throughout the week and junior clubs on Saturdays from 5-7pm. The club also run tennis camps during the school holidays.
