Giant 1,000ft water slide coming to Liverpool this Summer

Slide the City sees daredevils slip and slide their way along a giant water shute to live music.

How do you fancy flying down a 1,000ft (300m) water slide?

Slide the City is billed as the ‘biggest water party of the summer’ where people can slip and slide their way down a giant flume to live music.

They have become very popular in the USA. Now they are looking to set up a number of dates in the UK, with dates in Manchester, Bristol and London throughout June and July.

It is also coming to Liverpool.

The date and location for the Liverpool event is yet to be confirmed but after the huge success of the city’s zip wire attraction last summer, it is set to prove popular.

As well as the chance to slide your way along the length of three football pitches, there will be food and drink stalls selling refreshments.

To add to the fun, people are encouraged to bring water buckets, inflatables and water guns to squirt and splash each other with.

How much does it cost?

Single slider tickets are £10. That gets you a wristband that enables you to have one go on the slide, between 12pm and 5pm. You also get one free rental of an inflatable tube, or you can bring your own.

Triple slider tickets are £20. You get to slide three times between 12pm and 5pm, and also get a drawstring bag, waterproof phone case and three free inflatable tube rentals.

VIP slider tickets are £35. That means you can slide up to an hour before and an hour after the slide opens for the day, plus as many times as you like between 12pm and 5pm. You will also get a goody bag, which includes sunglasses and your own inflatable tube to take home.
