Update: Gild Hall in Formby Will Remain Open Beyond July

Formby Bubble have just received confirmation from the Archdiocese of Liverpool that the Gild Hall in Formby will not be closing in July, as previously rumoured.

All current bookings and events at the Gild Hall will go ahead as planned.

The Archdiocese has also confirmed that a consultation will be held with the community to understand what the Gild Hall means to you and to discuss the next steps. At this stage, no decisions about closure have been made, and closure is not on the table.

Formby Bubble will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available. In the meantime, please share your memories and thoughts about the Gild Hall — it’s clear that this community venue means a great deal to so many of you!

For now, it appears no final decision has been made about the future of the Gild Hall or the activity centre at the back of the building. Formby Bubble will continue to follow this story closely and update you as soon as more information becomes available.
