⚠️ RTC - Road Closure approaching Ince Woods Southbound A565

Merseyside Police update:

We are dealing with a Road Traffic Collision on Moor Lane in Ince Blundell.

The road is closed from Orrell Hill Lane and Brooms Cross Road. Please avoid the area and find an alternative route. Thank you.

We have received confirmed reports of an RTC on the A565 southbound, approaching Ince Woods. Emergency services are on site.

Police have closed the road in one direction heading towards Liverpool, with the closure in place from Scaffold Lane. The southbound carriageway is currently blocked.

There is extremely heavy congestion and cars are being diverted through back roads of Hightown and Lunt.

Coming towards Formby is reportedly clear and open.

At this stage, details are still unclear.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes where possible.
