Ravenmeols Level Crossing Closed today with Diversion in Place

Motorists are being advised that the level crossing on Ravenmeols Lane is currently closed, with disruption expected throughout the day.

Sefton Council has confirmed that roadworks are taking place on Queens Road at the junction with Sefton Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm to carry out essential highway repairs.

A diversion route is in place via Ward Avenue, Kirklake Road, Formby Bridge and Kings Road, before rejoining Ravenmeols Lane. The same route applies in reverse for traffic travelling in the opposite direction.

Drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journeys and use alternative routes where possible.
