Range Walking Club are looking for new members that want fresh air, exercise and good company
Do you enjoy walking and are seeking fresh air and exercise in good company, then Range Walking Club, based in Formby, will give you a real welcome.
Established in 1979 Range Walking Club has provided fully guided walks once per
month since that date. Depending on the season destinations include Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cumbria.
Transportation is normally by coach departing Range High School entrance gates in Formby at 08:00 on the third Sunday of each month. The school kindly allows us to use their car park. Recently, COVID has required us to offer a self drive option to a more local area.
On each excursion multiple walks are offered, ranging from 6 miles to 12 miles, but all are chosen to reflect the season of the walk and the degree of difficulty. This ensures all walks return to the coach in reasonable time for rest and refreshments, before departure at 5 pm. The next walk will be on Sunday 20th February 2022, departing Formby by coach, for walks in Shropshire.
Attendance and membership is not restricted to Formby residents, as we have members from Southport, Ainsdale, Crosby, Bootle and Liverpool.
