Range High School say a sad Farewell to Mrs Merrony.
A spokesperson from Range High said: “At the end of this month we bid a fond farewell to our lovely Catering Manager, Mrs Merrony.”
“Here are some highlights from her long career in catering:
Mrs Merrony’s family have a long history in catering: 100 years ago her family had a catering company in Liverpool serving hearty food to the workers at the busy Port of Liverpool!”
“Mrs Merrony attended Catering College in Liverpool and was first employed by Sefton School Meals service at 18 years of age!”
“After a stint in Herefordshire she moved back to Formby, started working at Range 26 years ago and became catering manager in 2000.”
Mrs Merrony says: “I have an amazing team of ladies and I could not run a successful department without their loyalty and dedication.”
“I have had a wonderful and busy working life at Range, but during the Covid pandemic we have all had chance to reassess life and I have decided it's time to start a new phase in my life. I will be moving to Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales and will be starting a new job at a high school in Llandudno.”
We wish her well in her new venture!
