Please remember the speed limit as my car was killed today in Formby
Dear Formby Bubble:
About 4.30pm my cat was hit on Gores Lane. She was such a lovely cat who adores humans - she wasn't good with cars so its such a shame but I understand these things happen. She was put down as she suffered severe injuries.
I just want to reach out to remind drivers to actually do 20mph. The signs are smaller so it might not look important but the 20mph zones are actually the most dangerous. The vet was sure this person was probably going over 20mph.
I'm gutted to hear that the person didn't stop - a passerby told us which was a decent human thing to do and testiment to my cat that she didn't deserve much pain.
Thank you very much to those people, it was very kind and respectful of you💟
We should be a community in Formby and it's never illegal to hit a cat so whoever it was should have stopped and apologised. It's the least but all you can do.
It would be nice if the person (white mini) could reach out, as I'm sure you are aware. I appreciate you may not have known what to do at the time.
Most of all I want people to follow the speed limits. You just don't know who's affected by your driving.
