Much loved craftsman and jazz lover Victor James Charters passes away aged 77

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Victor James Charters, who died on 21 April 2026 at the age of 77.

Victor was a much loved family man and a dear friend to many within the community. In his working life, he was a skilled Architectural Restorer and Carpenter, taking great pride in his craft before his retirement.

Outside of his work, Victor had a passion for music, particularly jazz, and enjoyed playing the saxophone.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Victor’s family warmly invite friends and neighbours to attend his funeral, which will take place at Southport Crematorium on Tuesday 19 May at 1.00pm. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
