Liverpool Road Closure in Formby – Works to Finish soon

Motorists and residents in Formby will be relieved to hear that the ongoing road closure on Liverpool Road – between Ravenmeols Lane and Birkey Lane – is set to finish on 12th June at 23:59.

The closure, which has been in place since 23rd May, is due to essential sewer repair works being carried out on behalf of United Utilities. The work has unfortunately caused major delays on all routes in and out of Formby, affecting both local journeys and through traffic.

While the repairs are crucial to maintaining our local sewer system, we know it has been frustrating for many. Thankfully, there’s not long to go now, and traffic is expected to return to normal once the works are completed.

Please continue to follow the signed diversions and plan extra time for your journeys if you’re heading in or out of the area.
