Taskers has officially returned to Formby after an eight year absence, opening the doors to its impressive new 8,000 sq ft home and interiors store on Altcar Road.

The family run Liverpool retailer welcomed its first customers on Thursday 27th August, marking an exciting return to Formby and bringing a major new home and garden retailer to the former Formby Cycles premises.

And with the Bank Holiday weekend now here, there is an extra reason for local shoppers to take a first look inside.

To celebrate the opening, Taskers is offering an exclusive 10% discount off every item throughout the Bank Holiday weekend at its new Formby store, its flagship Aintree store and online, using the code AUG10.

The spacious new Formby store offers a carefully selected range of some of Taskers’ bestselling products, including furniture, statement lighting, pictures and mirrors, rugs and home accessories.

For many Formby residents, the opening also marks the welcome return of a familiar name to the town.

Taskers previously had a presence in Formby before leaving around eight years ago. Its return represents another significant investment in the area from a family run business that has been serving customers in Liverpool since 1958.

There is also good news for local employment.

Taskers has retained three existing members of staff from Formby Cycles, the much loved local business which previously occupied the premises, while also creating four new jobs as part of the opening.

The new 8,000 sq ft store has been designed to offer customers in Formby and surrounding areas a more convenient way to shop some of Taskers’ most popular ranges.

Alongside furniture and home furnishings, customers will find statement lighting, mirrors, pictures, rugs and a selection of products which have become bestsellers at the retailer’s flagship Aintree store.

The Formby opening represents the latest stage in Taskers’ continued growth, with the family run business continuing to invest in new ways to bring its products and shopping experience closer to communities across the Liverpool City Region.

The arrival of Taskers also brings a new chapter for the former Formby Cycles premises on Altcar Road, while the retention of three members of the existing team means some familiar faces remain at the site.

With the Bank Holiday weekend ahead, local shoppers now have the opportunity to explore the new store while taking advantage of the special opening promotion.

Taskers Formby is open Monday to Saturday from 10am until 6pm and on Sundays from 10.30am until 4.30pm.
