I’m a Formby Postie appealing to dog owners to stop dogs peeing on the post boxes!

Dear Formby Bubble:

I’m a postie in Formby and I’m appealing to people who walk their dogs around the area.

Please stop letting your dogs pee on the red post boxes. To be completely honest, it’s absolutely disgusting. The smell is awful and we’re the ones who have to open those boxes and put our hands inside them every single day while doing our job.

Postmen and postwomen work hard in all weathers to deliver to the community and having to deal with post boxes that stink of dog urine is not something we should have to put up with.

Dogs will be dogs, but owners should take responsibility. If your dog does it, at least have the decency to carry a bottle of water and wash it down afterwards.

It’s about basic respect for the people doing the job. Thankyou
