Holly’s Minimart on Redgate in Formby is set to undergo a major transformation early next year, re-opening as a Premier convenience store following a complete overhaul and extensive refurbishment.
The shop will close temporarily from Sunday 12 January to Sunday 26 January 2026 to allow the work to take place. It is scheduled to reopen later in January as a brand-new Premier store, bringing a refreshed look and an enhanced shopping experience for local residents.
Premier stores are independently owned and operated by local retailers, while benefiting from the backing of one of the UK’s largest symbol groups. With over 4,400 Premier stores nationwide, the brand is known for combining the convenience of a local shop with a wide range of trusted branded and own-label products at competitive prices.
Established in 1994, Premier has become a familiar presence at the heart of communities across the UK. In 2018, the brand became part of the Tesco family following Tesco’s acquisition of the Booker Group, further strengthening its buying power and product range.
Customers can expect the refurbished Redgate store to offer:
A modernised layout and improved store design
An expanded range of everyday essentials and branded goods
Competitive pricing and regular promotions
The same local ownership and community-focused service
The reopening will mark an exciting new chapter for the Redgate shop, ensuring there will soon be a Premier at the heart of the Formby community.
Residents are advised to note the temporary closure dates and look out for reopening announcements closer to the time.
